We are glad we stayed over for a couple of nights, to be able to acclimatise a bit. So we have slept, eaten, slept, eaten and slept a bit more 😂

We like this hotel. We have stayed many times in the centre of Singapore, but it’s a pleasant change. Nice to be near the water.

We walked out today down by the Merlion (I don’t know if it’s the national symbol of Singapore, or just A symbol), then down by the Singapore River, down by the Boat Quay (where a lot of old – what appears to be former Chinese style trading houses – have been converted to restaurants) and on through the business area, dodging an election meeting that was taking place.

Tomorrow we head to Bawah Reserve in Indonesia, where luggage amount is restricted, so we spent a while consolidating into bags. We can store bags at this hotel which is good, as we return later in the week.
